This is the website of sailing vessel Wild Orchid, a Malö 42 cruising yacht built in Kungsvigen, Sweden in 1997 and registered in Ipswich, UK.

The Malö 42 is a true bluewater cruiser. It is a solidly-built quality boat that performs well at sea, is sloop-rigged, has a deep aft cockpit, safe teak decks and an encapsulated keel. Below decks, the Malö is both spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful wood finish.

We bought Wild Orchid in Holland in 2002; at that time she had had only one careful owner and very little use. She is ideal for living aboard and makes a good floating home. We have sailed on her for six months of each year since 2002, when we sailed her across the Atlantic, round the Caribbean and the coast of South America from Guyana to Panama, Central America etc. She has a very full equipment list, comes with a lot of spare parts, and is all set to continue cruising.

We love this boat and have done all we can to look after her (she has certainly looked after us at sea!). We have had a fantastic time cruising and very much regret that, due to new responsibilities back home, all good things have to come to an end and we must put her up for sale. We would like her to go to a good home!

Wild Orchid is now back in the UK and lying on the south coast.
